I'm Simon Brass, a close-up magician and mentalist based in Durham. My style is modern and elegant, with a strong sense of mystery: sharp sleight of hand, a little mind reading, and moments that feel impossible because they happen right in front of you.

Close-up magic happens right in front of your guests, often in their own hands. I move between small groups during drinks receptions, meals or networking, so there's no stage and no need to stop the event.
Where do you perform?
I'm based in Durham and regularly perform across County Durham, Newcastle, Sunderland, Teesside and the wider North East. I also travel anywhere in the UK and beyond.
How long does a performance last?
Most bookings are between one and three hours of walkaround magic. I'll recommend the right length based on your guest numbers and schedule.
Do you need any space or equipment?
No. Close-up magic and mentalism need no stage, sound system or lighting, so it works in any venue, indoors or out.
